    oysters are adapted to intertidal zones, where the water covers and exposes them 4 times a day. they are aslo hit hard by waves inbetween high tides so they latch down with specialized thread like projections to secure them to the rocks against the waves..

    squid are adapted to to pelagic (open water) life, they are naturally neutrally bouyant, use thier siphon as a form of jet propulsion, and are rather fast predators to catch their fast, free-swimming prey
